Free basic compression testing, fuel starvation testing (spraying fuel or carb cleaner into intake or spark plug hole to see if will momentarily start fuel-carb problem),and testing for spark
Any small equipment such as mowers, small tillers, chain saws etc. older than 15 years old there is a nonrefundable fee of $35 this covers cost of advanced diagnosis such as leak down, pressure-vacuum testing, and any take down of equipment to diagnose issues with the unit.
On any larger unit such as riding mowers, large tillers etc. older than 15 years the fee will be $50 to advance diagnose and any tear down to diagnose problems. This deposit will be paid in advance and put toward repairs if owner authorizes to have the unit repaired. (A signed agreement and payment of deposit will be done in advance of any work being performed).
Larger equipment a larger fee may be necessary but this will be discussed and approved in advance before accepting the unit. While Steve’s Small Engine Surgery strives to provide quality, and honest service there will be no guarantees on equipment of this age.
All repairs will be approved by Customer before any work done (written estimate can be provided in advance upon request)
30 day warranty on any work done.
Hourly rate on repairs $40/hr. You can bring your own parts!!! (No warranty of owner’s parts) and Steve’s Small Engine Surgery does not guarantee the quality of parts provided by the owner of the unit
TUNE UP: SHOP RATES
Push Mower tune up:
$55.00, tax included, (includes spark plug change, air filter change or clean(standard Briggs & Stratton type filter) change oil sharpen blade, clean deck, check all safety features, lube cables, check belts. Any parts in need of replacement are at additional labor and cost for the part and will be approved by owner of equipment in advance
Tractor tune up: $65 + tax, oil included, spark plugs and fuel filter. Parts (oil filter, air filter,) are additional, check belts and cables and all safety features, clean deck and tractor, and lubricate any grease fittings. Sharpen blades, inspection of unit. Any parts in need of replacement are at additional labor and cost for the part and will be approved by owner of equipment in advance
Replace drive and deck belts both: $60+cost of belts tax
Replace drive belt only $50 plus cost of belt + tax
Replace deck belt only $35 plus cost of belt tax
2cycle engine tune up $35(includes spark plug/clean air filter)+ tax
Other equipment i.e. snow blowers, garden tillers: tune up $35+ parts + tax
Carb cleaning only on mowers, small units such as cultivators, single stage snow blowers, and hand held equipment: $35.00. Tractors: $50.00
