Rehoming our beautiful black chow chow. He's quirky and stubborn and slow to warm up and trust people. But when he does, he's so funny and he loves butt rubs, he'd lay his face on the floor and stick his butt to you so you'd rub him. But it may take a while, he ignored us for days when we got him.
He loves cats and other dogs though we've not had the chance to socialize him with dogs much but he always wants to go to them and when he did he was gentle around smaller dogs and a bit skittish around the bigger ones at first. He's usually gentle around our cats but recently he's been too hyperactive, he's still gentle but he gets too excited and runs into our elderly cat.
We have to re-home him due to changes in our life that we're not able to provide the attention he needs. Due to that he's been too excited and has stepped on our elderly cat and keeps running into him by accident.
He is house trained and loves to hike (he does better without leash ngl), swim and sits on a paddle boat. But he can be stubborn, and when he's scared (in the past when he has accidents he'd hide in his crate and growl). His growls are scary but he's never bitten. (He has not growled in a while though) Definitely recommend for someone patient or with experience with dogs.
He has been babysat by grandparents with no issues. Have not had him around young children. He just deserves more attention than we can give.
He's been fixed.
Rehoming fee $80. Negotiable fee to a suitable home.
