Bear loves wearing a shirt, loves swimming and hiking, loves cats and other dogs, and also loves his own human (after a long time of getting to know you). He is slow to warm up to new people and can be stubborn, suited for a more calm and patient owner, preferably someone with experience.
He shares living spaces with our cats and gets along, has not had much experience around children, he has only been around other dogs during visits and dog parks as a younger dog and he loves being around them. He's also been babysat by grandparents without issue.
He can sound scary when he's defensive growling if he's scared and hiding in his crate. I don't recommend forcing him out, give him time. He has never bitten anyone but he can sound scary. But it has been more than a year since he last did that growl.
Rehoming due to changes in our lives that we are no longer able to care for him.
Bear's rehoming fee is $50 and negotiable for a good home.
